How we design
Start with the wearing, not the display case
We design around the moments jewellery usually fails: typing, sleeves, showering, a bag strap catching a chain.
That means low-profile settings, secure clasps, and weights that sit rather than swing. It is less dramatic on a product shot and considerably better on a Tuesday.
How we price
Honest about what this is
MOOI is gold-plated brass and cubic zirconia, not solid gold and diamonds. We say so plainly, because the value here is design and finish — not the raw material.
Skipping the boutique markup is how a piece that looks like it costs two hundred costs closer to twenty.

Care is most of the answer
Plated jewellery lasts far longer than people expect, provided it never meets perfume, chlorine or a hot shower.

Is MOOI real gold?
No. MOOI pieces are 14K gold plated over a brass core. We do not sell solid gold and we do not imply otherwise.
Will it turn my skin green?
Not under normal wear. The plating is sealed and nickel free. Prolonged contact with water, sweat or perfume wears any plating down — see the care guide.
How long does the plating last?
With reasonable care, well over a year of frequent wear. Removing pieces before showering, swimming and sleeping is the single biggest factor.
